Tik Tok or No Tok? ⚡️

DO NOT JUST BE ON ONE PLATFORM...

Hey Creativepreneurs🔥

Welcome back to CTV-101, a new kind of class that skips the math and science and gets to what you really care about, CREATING and making $$$ 🤑

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

“Creativity is seeing what others see and thinking what no one else ever thought” - Albert Einstein

Was this email forwarded to you?

Yo Tik Tok what’s going on?

Diversifying content platforms

What’s the one thing every investment guru wearing a Travis Matthew polo and skin tight pants says??

“Buy more AMC” lol

“Don’t put all your eggs in one basket”

The idea is that if you are getting into investing you don’t want to buy one stock like AMC. You want a basket of stocks…📈

  • Apple

  • Microsoft

  • J&J

  • Tesla

If one of these stocks goes belly up, you won’t be left with your finger up your nose and an investment portfolio in the red, but rather your portfolio will still be ok because of your positions in other companies🤑

How does this relate to Tik Tok?

Tik Tok could very well be sent to it’s post life resting place along with our beloved vine and musical.ly💀

As much as I hope Tik Tok doesn’t join the social media grave yard, it’s a real possibility

Back to the idea of not putting all your eggs in one basket…

Tik Tok ban step-by-step action plan

  1. Keep making content on Tik Tok (don’t stop out of speculation. Keep up that grind ya know what I’m sayin)

  2. Make an account on other platforms such as Instagram, YouTube shorts, X (Twitter), and even Facebook if you don’t already have one (Instagram is a for sure, but also dabble with the others)

  3. Repurpose Tik Tok content on other platforms

  4. Learn the algorithms of your new platforms you have chosen and start making one piece of content per week that specifically caters to that platform

  5. Build audience across multiple platforms

  6. Hope and pray that Tik Tok doesn’t get deleted or is bought out by another company (Shoutout Kevin O’Leary)

The main idea

Many social media gurus say “only focus on one platform”

I could not disagree more 😡

I’m on the bandwagon of selecting a platform YOU LIKE the most and devoting the majority of your time learning that platform and growing an audience there, but also being very present on other sites such as Instagram, X, and YouTube Shorts

If you’re someone who only makes short form content on Tik Tok and you have a massive following where you have the opportunity to do brand deals and make money in different ways, then you are absolutely SCREWED if Tik Tok gets deleted

That is what it’s paramount that you build an audience on other platforms in case your main platform goes under

ACTIONABLE STEPS YOU CAN TAKE TODAY

1️⃣ Evaluate whether or not you’re saturating all your time and effort into one platform

2️⃣ If content is saturated on one platform, repurpose your content to be on other platforms for more diverse exposure

3️⃣ Don’t stop posting on Tik Tok. It’s likely that if Tik Tok doesn’t get bought out, ByteDance (the parent company) will appeal the ban in the U.S and it will be a long and drawn out process until they are bought out

Remember it’s not about how much you know, it’s about what you do with what you know

Implementation is 🔑

For kicks and giggles:
